Why we need this site | Christadelphian Life Solutions |

|
Christadelphian Life Solutions is the result of the combined efforts of many Christadelphians worldwide. We hope to gain the support of as many other Christadelphian Organisations as possible, in order to have the optimum global impact in helping our brothers and sisters. We'd like to know what sort of articles you think may be useful, so please help us by casting your top vote on the panel to the side. Alternatively, you can contact us by clicking here. Our objective is to provide a first point of contact (see Solution Leaders) and collate information about good resources that will support believers battling with the problems of this world. We're also commissioning experienced brothers and sisters to write articles on the various topics listed on the homepage. Eventually, we would like to publish the articles in a booklet series, God willing. You might ask why we think there is a need for such a site. Well this link to a recent editiorial in The Christadelphian Tidings "Calling all parents" shows that there is a great need for sound moral guidance, resources and support on a range of topics related to our daily living in Christ. A short quotation will suffice here: "It's not just the world According to the survey, over half of our teens have accepted offers of beer and/or liquor and in a third of the cases the providers have been friends in the CYC. Nearly half of our teens have been asked to have sex and a fifth of those requests have come from CYC friends. Those responding average eight hours per week watching TV, 20 hours listening to all kinds of music and many play the latest video games. Their favorite TV programs areL Friends, which features a houseful of promiscuous singles; The Simpsons, which features cynical attitudes to authority, moral standards and all things religious. The most popular video games are Counter Strike and Quake - both of which are laced with violence, strong language, sex and drugs. Fully two-thirds have viewed pornography accidentally on the Internet; 50% of the boys and 24% of the girls admit to having an Internet porn problem. In spite of having good intentions, the fear was clearly expressed that the pervasive iniquity of our society created a pressure that was becoming too much to resist" (from The Christadelphian Tidings, June 2005). We know from our experiences of fighting the flesh, and trying to help brothers and sisters who live near us, that help is desperately needed. The findings of the editorial mentioned above have been proven true in our own experiences. A recent letter in The Christadelphian magazine called for our responses, to sexual problems in particular, to be "less muted". It is this sort of resource which we wish to develop - the type of thing that calls "a spade a spade" because we need clear, but reverential, moral guidance. Hence, the aims of the website are as follows:
It is lamentable that so many of us need such help, but it would be far more lamentable indeed if nothing were done to carry the burdens of our brothers and sisters, for whom Christ died. We pray that this site might glorify our Heavenly Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, as we try to please him by vigorously fighting sin through the strength which He supplies.
