Christadelphian Life Solutions Mission, Vision & Values
Mission
The purpose of the Christadelphian Life Solutions (CLS) Project is to provide easy access to scripturally–consistent resources to help believers (brothers, sisters, young people and interested friends) overcome practical problems of living in this world (Gal 2:6). Our goal is to compassionately restore even the most burdened believer in their faith; to their God; and to their spiritual family (1 Pet 5:10).
Vision
A worldwide Christadelphian community:
- Glorifying our Heavenly Father, through Christ-like service to each other (Rom 15:5-7).
- A bride that is kingdom-ready (Rev 19:7) and finds God’s peace in overcoming sin and the pull of this world (Rom 8:6).
- A body of believers who comfort each other within the ecclesial fold where every believer can find forgiveness, restoration, hope, joy and peace within the body of Christ (2 Cor 1:4).
Values
- All our actions and assistance to believers will be accomplished through scripturally sound resources and supports.
- We have faith in God’s values and we trust scripture as our up-to-date guide for life (John 14:6).
- We honestly, urgently and compassionately manifest God’s grace and character with each other.
Christadelphian Community Need
We believe that many Christadelphian believers (brothers, sisters, young people, and interested friends) across the world are in need of pastoral care. Christadelphian believers, in and out of ecclesial fellowship, need support and assistance with a wide variety issues. We acknowledge that many believers struggle with sin, sickness, family problems, and a variety of personal issues/behaviors; these struggles can ultimately endanger the salvation of some. The CLS Project endeavors to continuously understand and support the expressed needs for support within our brotherhood. We aim to supplement, support and restore - not replace - the God-given individual, family and ecclesial relationships that are essential to spiritual health.
CLS Project Description
The Christadelphian Life Solutions Project has two essential elements. First, we will provide a frequently refreshed website ( www.christadelphianlifesolutions.com ) that provides information, exhortation and suggested resources on a wide variety of daily living issues. Second, we will provide links through the website that connect believers with Solution Leader brothers and sisters that can provide personal, confidential information, support and crisis intervention in line with biblical teaching.
CLS Project Leadership Structure
Advisory Group
The project will be overseen by an Advisory Group (AG) of brothers and sisters with a combination of professional and ecclesial pastoral care experience within the brotherhood. The AG will ideally reflect the major geographic centers of Christadelphia, as well as a diversity of perspectives, subject expertise and ecclesial representation.
Qualifying Experience of AG members
1. Baptised for a minimum of 5 years.
2. A history of proper ecclesia standing and fellowship as a brother or sister in Christ. Provision of a positive reference from the current Recording Brother of their home ecclesia, and from a second brother or sister from another ecclesia that would verify their suitability for the duties and responsibilities of an Advisory Group member.
3. Expertise in one or more project focus areas (i.e. ecclesial leadership, finance, fund raising, editing, or project topics like counseling, aging, family life, etc.).
4. Willingness to be “ambassadors” for the project in their own ecclesia and region.
5. Ability to provide counsel and biblical wisdom in the administration of the project.
6. Willingness to assume specific roles: administrative support, site material review, communications, project development, Solution Leader selection and oversight.
Solution Leaders
The project’s second phase of implementation will include the introduction of Solution Leaders (SLs). Pre-screened SLs are selected by the AG to act as eligible contacts for specific subject areas. Email contact information will be provided for each SL on the CLS web site. SLs will make themselves available to believers accessing the site and will follow the established protocols to ensure that their contact is scriptural, respectful, safe and healthy for all concerned. SLs will maintain regular contact with an assigned AG who will supervise their contact with believers.
Qualifying Experience of Solution Leaders
1. Baptised for a minimum of 5 years.
2. Demonstrated history of being in an ecclesial position of responsibility (teaching, Arranging Board, organizing functions, participating in the set up of inter-ecclesial functions).
3. Be in good standing in their home ecclesia with current membership.
4. Provision of a positive reference from the current Recording Brother of their home ecclesia, and from a second brother or sister from another ecclesia that would verify their suitability for the duties and responsibilities of a SL.
5. Demonstrated experience and/or training in a specific area of counseling, medical or professional support.
6. Be at least 30 years old. Youth are encouraged to participate under the supervision of an established SL for the purpose of specifically reaching and assisting other youth.
